The first Stratford High School senior student vs. faculty flag football game will be played Thursday, Nov. 14, at 6:30 p.m. at Penders Field.
Proceeds from the contest will go to the school’s General Fund, while the Stratford High School Athletic Association will be conducting its annual Thanksgiving food drive in conjunction with the game.
Food items will be donated to the Sterling House Community Center food pantry. All participants are required to bring a non-perishable food item in order to participate.
Tickets for the game are $3 for students and senior citizens and $5 for adults.
Spectators who bring a non-perishable food item will receive a $1 discount on the ticket price.
Tickets may be purchased in the Stratford High School Athletic Association office and the main office.
While members of the SHS football team are prohibited from participating, the senior captains will serve as coaches for the student team. The SHS football staff will be the referees.
Leading the faculty team into action will be Principal Joseph Corso and assistants Michael Hults and Anthony DeAngelo.
